Yemi Solade: Acting Can’t Fund a G-Wagon
Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has stated that none of his female colleagues in the industry can afford to buy a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) solely from acting.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, Solade argued that Nollywood does not generate the level of income required for such luxury purchases.

According to him, while producing movies could yield higher returns, acting alone cannot.
“It is possible from producing but not from acting, except they have side hustles. How much are they going to pay you for acting—₦50 million?” he asked.
The actor added that in some cases, such expensive cars may be gifts, noting: “Yes now, dem fit gift person G-Wagon.”
This comes weeks after Solade made headlines for declaring that his life had improved since he stopped attending church.
