Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has cautioned Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed against attempts to bring former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, back into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Wike issued the warning during a media parley in Abuja on Monday while responding to remarks made by Mohammed—who also serves as Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum—during an interview on Channels Television.

Governor Mohammed had hinted that the PDP was weighing the possibility of fielding either Obi or former President Goodluck Jonathan as its presidential candidate in 2027.
Reacting, Wike dismissed the idea, arguing that reinstating Obi and handing him the party’s ticket would spell doom for the PDP.
“Bring Obi back to where? You want to kill the party? This is someone who openly condemned the PDP and called it rotten—so now it’s suddenly good enough for him? Ambition can make people even walk into Satan’s house,” Wike said.
