Terror strike: Boko Haram seizes man in Adamawa

Suspected Boko Haram fighters have kidnapped a resident of Mayo Village in Kirchiga District, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

According to sources cited by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the attack occurred around 1:00 a.m. on September 18, when about 20 armed insurgents invaded the community through Bitiku bush, which shares a border with Gwoza LGA in Borno State.

The victim was identified as 43-year-old Friday Wazumtu, a local resident of the village.

Military troops were swiftly deployed after the assault, but the attackers had already retreated. Security officials confirmed that soldiers are now tracking the insurgents’ trail in a bid to rescue Wazumtu and bring the perpetrators to justice.
