Residents of Odo-Ere, Odo-Eri, Ejiba, Egbe in Kogi, as well as Eruku, Osi, Obo-Ile, Oke-Ode in Kwara State, and parts of Niger State, have been warned to watch out for strange movements, unfamiliar faces, and suspicious activities. The heightened security comes just days after the Nigerian Army redeployed the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Ibadan, to Kwara State following Sunday’s deadly attack on Ogba-Ayo community in Oke-Ode, Ifelodun LGA.
That incident left at least 12 people dead, including the community leader (Baale), while an unspecified number of residents were abducted by bandits.
