Police Arrest Two Men with Three Human Skulls in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has announced the arrest of two men found in possession of three human skulls in the Ijebu area of the state.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, said the arrests followed a routine stop-and-search operation by operatives of 71 PMF Awa Ijebu.

According to Odutola, officers intercepted a motorcycle rider, identified as Kadir Owolabi, along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway near the Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu, at about 2:00 p.m. on August 11, 2025.

“A search of his luggage led to the shocking discovery of three human skulls,” she said.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a second suspect, 53-year-old Jamiu Yisa, at a location behind the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.

The State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to take over the case for a comprehensive probe.
