The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for officially recognising the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
In a statement, Nwosu described INEC’s decision as a “democratic relief” for voters in the state, noting that it comes at a time when citizens are searching for a credible political alternative.
Drawing parallels with 2003, when the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) emerged as a viable option against what he termed the PDP’s impunity, Nwosu said the situation had come full circle. “Twenty-four years later, APGA itself has grown intoxicated with power and begun to disregard the people. Now, God has remembered Anambra again through INEC’s patriotic impartiality,” he said.

The ADC candidate dismissed suggestions that INEC was setting up the party for failure, stressing that all due processes had been followed. “There is no hidden agenda. ADC is here to stay. The people finally have an alternative to the old, tired platforms that have taken them for granted,” he added.
Nwosu assured that the ADC would provide Anambra with a people-focused campaign, offering voters the opportunity on November 8 to choose a “servant leader” over “arrogant opportunists.”
