The Forum for State Chairmen of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) has dismissed reports claiming it endorsed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement jointly signed by its National Chairman, Kasim Mabo, and National Secretary, Sulaiman Oyaremi, the forum described the reports as misleading, clarifying that the visit of a few former members to Atiku did not reflect the position of the group.

“Out of 37 members, just 16 have pledged allegiance to the former vice president. The remaining 20 are firmly committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the administration of President Bola Tinubu,” the statement read.

The forum reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda, urging the public to disregard any claims suggesting otherwise.
