Another fire broke out on Tuesday night at Emab Plaza, a four-storey commercial complex located behind Mandilas on Lagos Island.

The blaze, which started around 9:00 p.m., prompted an emergency response from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, with teams from the Ebute Elefun and Oniru fire stations rushing to the scene.

Eyewitnesses said the fire began on the top floor of the building before spreading to nearby sections. As of 10:00 p.m., Deputy Controller General of the state fire service, Olajide Ogabi, confirmed that firefighting and rescue operations were ongoing.

The incident occurred just hours after a separate fire gutted a six-storey building in Marina earlier in the day, where eight trapped occupants were rescued.
