The Kano State Police Command has arraigned a young man, Rabi’u Halliru Tudun Yola, before a Shari’a Court in Danbare for allegedly stabbing another youth with a pair of scissors.
The case, presided over by Judge Munzali Idris Gwadabe, followed a complaint from one Kabiru Bello, who reported that his son, Isma’il Kabiru, was stabbed in the chest by the accused. The victim is currently receiving treatment at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.

During the hearing, Rabi’u Halliru pleaded guilty to the charge of causing grievous bodily harm. The court ordered his remand in a correctional facility until September 23, pending the medical condition of the victim.
Authorities note that Kano has witnessed recurring incidents of gang-related violence, with youths often resorting to knives, scissors, and other sharp objects in clashes.
