Celebrity Car Dealer IVD Reportedly Arrested at Lagos Airport Ahead of Wedding Plans
Popular auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD, has reportedly been arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
According to reports, the arrest occurred on Friday while IVD was en route to Qatar, allegedly in preparation for his upcoming wedding to controversial relationship influencer, Blessing CEO.
On Saturday, blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus shared via Instagram that the arrest is linked to ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the tragic death of IVD’s late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. She revealed that the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions was responsible for the detention.

As of now, official statements from the authorities or IVD’s representatives are yet to be released regarding the situation.

Celebrity car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has reportedly been arrested by authorities at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
Sources say the arrest took place on Friday as IVD was preparing to travel to Qatar, allegedly for his wedding to self-proclaimed relationship coach, Blessing CEO. The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions is said to have carried out the arrest.
Reacting to the development on Saturday, media personality Stella Dimoko-Korkus confirmed in an Instagram post that the arrest is tied to the unresolved legal case surrounding the death of IVD’s wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.
“The domestic violence case related to his late wife is still ongoing. He is not permitted to leave the country until it’s concluded,” she wrote.
Bimbo Ogbonna tragically died in October 2022 following a fire incident reportedly linked to domestic abuse in their Lagos home.
The Lagos State Government subsequently charged IVD with involuntary manslaughter under suit No. LD/21055C/23. The case remains active in court.
