Former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Olujimi, has explained why she chose to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during an appearance on Beyond the Headlines, a current affairs programme on TVC, Olujimi cited President Bola Tinubu’s willingness to make tough calls and remain steadfast in the face of challenges as a key factor influencing her switch.
While reflecting on her time with the PDP, Olujimi described the beginning as promising but said the experience gradually turned into a difficult and frustrating ordeal.

Ekiti-born politician and former Senate Minority Leader, Biodun Olujimi, has shed more light on her decision to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the party’s readiness to confront hard realities and make bold decisions.
Reflecting on her departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olujimi described her political journey with the party as initially fulfilling but increasingly burdensome over time.
“It started off as an exciting path, but eventually it became draining and deeply challenging,” she explained. “I knew it was time to move forward, to regain momentum, and to realign my focus.”
