Doyin Kukoyi Speaks on Alleged Marriage to Ogogo
Veteran Nigerian broadcaster and actress Doyin Kukoyi has dismissed rumours linking her to a marital relationship with Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo).
Speculation began in 2022 after photos of the duo in matching traditional attire surfaced online, with Kukoyi further fuelling the claims by posting the images on Instagram with love emojis. Many assumed she had become Ogogo’s third wife.

However, speaking on the Nollywood on Radio podcast, Kukoyi explained that the pictures were a promotional strategy for a film in which they acted as husband and wife.
She stressed that she is happily married with three children, adding that the misunderstanding never upset her.
“We played the role of husband and wife. We took a picture, and I tagged it with ‘my heart rob.’ Everyone still believes I’m married to Ogogo. I did that to sell that movie. And I did not correct the misconception,” she said.
Kukoyi noted that people still stop her in public to ask after her supposed husband, and she often responds playfully.
