Atiku Praises ADC’s Youth Appointments, Says “Future Must Not Be Decided Without Them”

Former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has lauded the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for appointing young Nigerians to key positions in its National Working Committee, emphasizing the importance of youth inclusion in national decision-making.

Reacting to the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Atiku congratulated the appointees—Bilyaminu Duhu (Assistant National Youth Leader, North East), Jackie Wayas (@JWEZEE – Deputy National Publicity Secretary), Hassana Dada (Assistant National Youth Leader, North Central), David Itokpa (@iamhistory_ – Deputy National Welfare Secretary), and Hauwa Yusuf (@itz_hawee – Deputy National Secretary), among others.

He praised the ADC for translating its rhetoric on youth inclusion into concrete action.

“The @ADCNig is no longer just talking about youth inclusion—it’s showing leadership by putting it into practice,” Atiku wrote.

“The future of our youth must not be shaped in their absence. I commend the ADC for giving them a seat at the table where real decisions are made. This is what true leadership looks like—not just talking the talk, but walking it with intent and purpose.”
