The Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mr. Biodun Sanyaolu, has called on both teaching and non-teaching unions in the state to strengthen their cooperation with the commission in a shared bid to advance the education sector.
Speaking in Abeokuta at a meeting with Principals-General and leaders of key education unions — including the All Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) — Sanyaolu stressed the importance of unity and collaboration.
He described the groups as vital partners in shaping the future of education in Ogun State, noting that their support is crucial for the smooth execution of policies aimed at improving secondary school education.
According to him, TESCOM has rolled out several measures designed to promote fairness, transparency, and efficiency in its operations, all geared towards boosting staff morale and delivering quality service across the system.
