President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate commencement of two major projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) — the construction of new hostels at the Nigerian Law School in Abuja and a key access road in Jabi District.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the directive mandates the building of a 300-bed female hostel and a 300-bed male hostel at the Nigerian Law School. The initiative aims to address accommodation challenges faced by students.

In addition, the President approved the construction of the road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi to Nile University. Once completed, the road is expected to ease traffic pressure in the area, particularly on the route leading to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters.

Both projects are to be executed under emergency procurement guidelines, signaling their priority status.
