Rivers LG Polls: RSIEC Completes Collation Training
The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has wrapped up the second phase of training for 319 Ward Collation and Returning Officers ahead of the state’s Local Government Election scheduled for August 30.
RSIEC Chairman and Chief Electoral Officer, Michael Ekpali Odey, stated that the training aligns with the Commission’s ongoing efforts to enhance competence, professionalism, and efficiency among its election-day ad-hoc staff.

Odey noted that he personally directed the second round of instruction, which was held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the RSIEC headquarters in Port Harcourt, ensuring that all 319 officers are fully prepared for their responsibilities.
