Eunice Wuraola Ogini, the eldest daughter of the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, has urged pastors to refrain from spreading false or unverified claims about her father.
Her remarks come in response to comments made by Biodun Fatoyinbo, Lead Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), who claimed that despite Apostle Babalola’s powerful anointing, he lived in poverty and questioned the current whereabouts of his children.

In a video statement, Mrs. Ogini defended her father’s legacy, stating that he lived a comfortable life and that his ministry was marked by unwavering dedication to the gospel of Christ.
“My father, in his lifetime, preached the gospel without compromise,” she said. “During his crusades, people brought idols, shrines, occult objects, and calabashes to be destroyed by fire. His ministry was a powerful move of God.”
She appealed to ministers of the gospel to speak truthfully and respectfully when referencing her father’s name, emphasizing the need for fact-checking before making public statements.
“Ministers of God, please honour the Lord when you are on the pulpit. Verify every piece of information to avoid lies and speculation,” she said, citing Colossians 4:6, which advises believers to ensure their words are “gracious and seasoned with salt.”
