ADC Chairman David Mark Reaffirms Commitment to Accountability Ahead of 2027 Elections
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has reiterated the party’s resolve to reject imposition, special privileges, and politics without accountability in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Tuesday at the 2025 International Youth Day celebration organised by the ADC National Youth Wing in Abuja, Mark—represented by former APC National Vice Chairman (North-West), Salihu Lukman—said the party would serve as a principled, people-focused alternative for Nigeria’s disillusioned youth and progressives.

The event, themed “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” brought together political figures, youth leaders, and advocates for progressive change.
Mark, a former Senate President and ex-military administrator of Niger State, emphasised that the ADC’s new chapter would be anchored on unity, courage, and service to the nation.
“Under my leadership, ADC will be committed to genuine democratic values, rejecting imposition, special privileges, and politics without accountability. Internal democracy, transparency, and fairness will remain our guiding principles,” he stated.
