A man named Abubakar Ijidai has reportedly assaulted his former girlfriend and fatally attacked her mother in the Dille District of Askira/Uba Local Government Area, Borno State.
The incident was disclosed on Sunday through a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X (formerly Twitter).
A tragic incident unfolded in the Dille District of Askira/Uba Local Government Area, Borno State, where a man identified as Abubakar Ijidai allegedly launched a violent attack on his former girlfriend and her mother, resulting in one fatality.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. According to his report, the assault took place around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday while the victims were working on their farmland.
Ijidai, a resident of the same community, is said to have attacked 18-year-old Lami Azuba and her 38-year-old mother, Hauwa Azuba, with a machete. Following the brutal act, he reportedly fled the scene, leaving both women critically wounded.
Officers from the Lassa Police Outpost later arrived at the location and transported the victims to the General Hospital in Lassa. Hauwa was pronounced dead on arrival, while her daughter, due to the severity of her injuries, was referred to the General Hospital in Mubi, Adamawa State, for further treatment.
Hauwa’s remains were handed over to her family for burial in accordance with Christian rites.
Makama added that law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing the suspect to ensure he is apprehended and brought to justice.
