More than three Years after Abubakar Duduwale, a diehard fan of President Muhammadu Buhari, trekked from Yola to Abuja to witness the presidential inauguration in May 2015, he is still dealing with a leg injury.

This was revealed on Friday by Professor Isaac Adewole, Minister of Health, who visited the Federal Medical centre, Yola, where Duduwale is a patient.

As he set out to embark on the trek in 2015, Duduwale had described Buhari as his “political role model”.

“The reason I am trekking from Yola to Abuja is to express my joy and solidarity with President-elect Muhammadu Buhari,” he had said. “I want to trek from Yola to Abuja to witness the inauguration ceremony of President-elect.”

After visiting him on Friday, Adewole vowed to “ensure his full recovery”.
