President Sacks Minister of Youth Development
MINISTER of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir, has been relieved of his appointment with immediate effect.
A statement from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Sam Nwaobasi, said that President Goodluck Jonathan has relieved Abdulkadir of his appointment with effect from August 26, 2013.
Reasons for the sack of Abdulkadir were not yet known but a source at the ministry said “it is obvious that the performance of the sleeping minister is being appraised and his abysmal performance cannot be concealed.”
Also it is being alleged that it is not unconnected with his inability to connect with the youth population of the nation and the fact that he is “lacking in initiative on how to bring his influence to bear on the group”.
